The three records that stop spoofing
Three DNS records, working together, are what tell the world an email genuinely came from you.
SPF
Lists which mail servers are allowed to send email for your domain. Without it, anyone can.
DKIM
Adds a tamper-proof digital signature to your mail, so receivers can confirm it wasn't forged or altered in transit.
DMARC
Tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that fail SPF or DKIM - and reports back to you on who's sending as you.
Email authentication, explained
Three DNS records that prove an email claiming to be from your domain is genuinely from you. SPF lists your approved sending servers, DKIM signs your mail so it can't be tampered with in transit, and DMARC tells receiving servers what to do if a message fails those checks - and sends you reports on who's sending as you.
Without them, anyone can send an email that looks like it's from your business - a common way scammers target your clients, suppliers or staff. Getting them right also improves the chance your own emails land in the inbox instead of spam or junk.
It usually just means one or more records are missing, misconfigured, or set too loosely to actually protect you. That's normal, and fixable - get in touch and we'll talk you through what your results mean and put it right.
No. Done properly, these changes are rolled out carefully alongside your existing mail flow, with no downtime and no disruption to email you're already sending or receiving.
Yes, completely free. The check only looks up public DNS records - the same information anyone can already look up about your domain. We don't store your domain or use it for anything else.
